Town of West Sweden- Monthly Meeting

April 16, 2013

Meeting was called to order at 6:22pm.  Present at the meeting were Simon Nelson, Chairman; Scott Wilder and Glenn Meier, supervisor; Phyllis Wilder, treasurer; Kevin Taylor, patrolman; and Andrea Lundquist, Clerk.  Residents and onlookers include William Johnson and Jack Larson.

The minutes of the last meeting were presented by the clerk. The town board thanked the clerk for the report.

The treasurer presented the monthly report.   The town board thanked the treasurer for the report.


Public Input:  A. Jack Larson from Family Pathways presented information about the food shelf in Frederic. The food shelf supports surrounding communities, not just Frederic.  They request appointments, though drop-ins are acceptable.  Food may be dropped off any time they are open.  Family pathways is also involved in thrifts stores (SCF), youth groups (MN), and Senior citizen groups (MN).


Old Business: A.

Employee Report: A. Dump Truck is fixed. Tie rod repair was approx. $1050.00 at Truck and Trailer.

B. Tractor is back from Knauper Repair and is ready for spring use.

C. MSHA training is scheduled for next Tuesday, April 23rd, for Kevin and Ron.


Correspondence: A. Habitat for Humanity requested use of Benson Road during construction.  There are no posted limits on Benson Rd.


New Business: A. The town will not be posting limits on roads this spring. Road inspection will be Monday, May 6th at 5:00pm starting at Bremer Bank parking lot.


All bills paid and approved. 

The next meeting will be Tuesday, May 21st, 2013 at 7:00pm.

Motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Scott, seconded by Glenn.  Motion carried. Time was 7:09pm.
