Town of West Sweden- Monthly Meeting

Meeting was called to order at 6:3 pm. Members present were Simon Nelson, Chairman; Glenn Meier and †Scott Wilder, supervisors; Brenda Tesch, treasurer, Kevin Taylor, patrolman; and Phyllis Wilder, clerk.† Public: Ken Ruhn††
The minutes to the June meeting were presented by the clerk.† The board thanked the clerk for the report.
The financial statement for June was presented by the treasurer. The board thanked her for the report.
Public input:† †Ken Ruhn expressed concern for ATVís traveling on unmarked roads. Signage for no route was suggested.
Employee report:† Kevin reported Benson road is black topped; shouldering will be done the week of August 25. Road right of way has been mowed three times. Burnett County will do shouldering on Clam Falls Drive, 315th Avenue and 310th Avenue. John Deere redid wiring for mower problems.† Ron Fredericks is going to doctor on September 2 for shoulder. Plow blades will be ordered from Burnett County. †Kenny Hackett asked about us contracting to grade their gravel roads as their grader is down. Glenn will contact Bob Carlson about rates charged for hire of grader.
Simon talked to Dave Wondra about reimbursement of road on Benson Road.
A. Salt shed: None†††††††
A. Culvert Policy review:† The clerk provided information from Bone Lake Township and Johnsontown on how they handle culverts for residents. The towns association referred us to state statue 86.05 and also stated that it is normally the property owners are responsible for the installation and or replacement of culverts.† No action was taken at this meeting. ††
B. Review ATV routes:† 305th †Avenue is not a ATV route in West Sweden, the village ATV route goes the †to Free Church.† No changes will be done on our route of 140th to 310th at this time.
