Town of West Sweden-Monthly Meeting

Feb. 17, 2009

Meeting called to order at 6:30 p.m. Present at the meeting were Dennis O’Donnell- Chairman, Scott Wilder and Glenn Meier- Supervisors, Phyllis Wilder – Treasurer and Lori Lundquist-Clerk. Residents and onlookers included Kevin Taylor, William Johnson,

The meeting was called to order by Dennis.

The minutes of the last meeting were read by the clerk.

Motion to approve minutes by Scott and seconded by Glenn. Carried.

The treasurer’s monthly report was presented by Phyllis.

Motion to approve the treasurer’s report was made by Glenn and seconded by Scott. Carried.

Public Input -.William Johnson appeared with info about possible upcoming budget cuts at the state level that will affect the local entities.

Old Business –Clerk received the letter stating that Alder Engineering from Cumberland has been appointed as our state building inspector.

Patrolman/Hwy. Building/Hwy. Report. – Kevin stated that he has enough salt/sand on hand now.

Correspondence- We received a list stating tax foreclosures for West Sweden

New Business- Dennis received a call from Polk County Hwy. commissioner, Steve Warndahl about the state possibly building a salt/sand storage building if we can donate the land. Polk County was interested in having it located off Hwy 35 by the sewer plant, Dennis would like to see it built where the Quonset is now located. This is just for info now.

All bills paid and approved.

The next meeting will be Tuesday, Mar. 17 at 6:30 p.m.
