Town of West Sweden-Monthly Meeting

April 21st, 2009

Meeting called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Dennis. Present at the meeting were Dennis O’Donnell- Chairman, Scott Wilder and Glenn Meier- Supervisors, Phyllis Wilder – Treasurer and Andrea Lundquist-Clerk. Residents and onlookers included Kevin Taylor, William Johnson, and Lori Lundquist.

It was acknowledged that that Andrea Lundquist was elected as the new clerk.

The minutes of the last meeting were read by the clerk.

Motion to approve minutes by Glenn and seconded by Scott. Carried.

The treasurer’s monthly report was presented by Phyllis.

Motion to approve the treasurer’s report was made by Glenn and seconded by Scott. Carried.

Public Input - William mentioned that the residents were wondering if Kevin would pay extra care regarding potholes on Clam Falls Drive.

Old Business – Discussion of the pre-purchase of fuel. Frederic Fuel gave Kevin a quote, but it seems like it would not be beneficial to participate in a pre-buy at this time. This issue was tabled.

Kevin talked to the Polk County highway commission regarding the pre-purchase of sans/salt, and this was also tabled.

Patrolman/Hwy. Building/Hwy. Report – Discussion on road names.

Kevin mentioned that the dump truck needs repair. Repairs have been started on the truck.

Kevin mentioned the ordering of street signs, and Dennis mentioned there was a grant from the county. Kevin will check on the status of the grant.

Correspondence- Phyllis, Scott and Andrea will take the BOR training.

Scott will contact Tim Anderson for plan meeting

New Business- Road inspections will be June 3^rd at 5:00 at the Bremer Bank parking lot.

All bills paid and approved.

The next meeting will be Tuesday, May 19^th, 2009 at Open Book and Board of Review.

Motion to adjourn the meeting made by Glenn and seconded by Scott.
