Town of West Sweden-Monthly Meeting

July 20, 2010

Meeting called to order at 6:30 p.m. Present at the meeting were Dennis O’Donnell- Chairman, Scott Wilder and Glenn Meier- Supervisors, Phyllis Wilder–Treasurer and Andrea Lundquist-Clerk. Residents and onlooker included Douglas Crane from North Country Surveying, Walter Schommer, Mary Schommer, Bill Schommer, and Carol Schommer.

The meeting was called to order by Dennis.

The minutes of the last meeting were read by the clerk.

Minutes were received by town board.

The treasurer’s monthly report was presented by treasurer.

Report was received by town board.

Public Input – Walter Schommer presented a possible need for new signs, reduced speed limit, and a 4 way stop on 150^th near Diamond Lake. Mr. Schommer and the board will do some research on the topic. The board will continue the discussion at the August meeting.

Old Business – A truck has been purchased for the town patrolman for $8,018.50. Signs will be put on the truck at a cost of $65-$75/door.

Patrolman/Hwy. Building/Hwy. Report – none

Correspondence – none to note.

New Business – North Country Survey presented a town checklist for the property owned by Nancy Blum. The board endorsed the checklist to split the property into two parcels.

Dennis was approached by a resident that is having a fencing dispute with the neighboring property. The town will send information including the statues regarding fencing to each resident involved.

All bills paid and approved.

The next meeting will be Tuesday, August 17th, 2010 at 6:30pm.

Motion to adjourn the meeting made by Glenn and seconded by Scott. Motion Carried.
