Town of West Sweden- Monthly Meeting

December 16, 2014

Meeting was called to order by Scott Wilder at 6: 47 pm. Members present were Glenn Meier and Scott Wilder, supervisors; Kevin Taylor, patrolman; Brenda Tesch, treasurer and Phyllis Wilder, clerk. Wayne Swenson, Polk Countty Land Surveying Co. Simon Nelson was absent.

The minutes to the November meeting were presented by the clerk. The board thanked the clerk for the report.

The financial statement for November was presented by the treasurer. The board thanked her for the report.

Public input: None

Polk County Land Surveying Co: Wayne Swenson presented the subdivision of 39.18 acres into lot 1 & lot 2 parcel number 48-00753-000. Motion Glenn, second Scott to accept. Motion carried.

Employee report: Kevin talked with John Struck; tractor warranty is good until February 2016. Plow truck is leaking oil, need to get an estimate. Kevin will check with Truck & Trailer.

Old Business:

A. Culvert policy: Discussed points needed in ordinance.

New Business:

A. Labor rate for equipment use: After discussion is was determined to set the rate of $95 per hour/grader & manpower when helping out other municipalities.

All bills approved and paid.

Move to closed session: Personal at 7:25 pm.

Result of closed session was to increase Kevin’s wage to 18.77 per hour or increase of 2 % .Glenn made the motion to increase Kevin’s wage, Scott 2^nd, raise effective 2015.

Caucus date set for January 20, 2015 @ 6:30 pm with regular meeting to follow.

Motion to adjourn was made by Glenn Meier, 2^nd by Scott Wilder, carried.
