Town of West Sweden- Monthly Meeting

August 18, 2015

Meeting was called to order by Scott Wilder at 6:30 pm. Members present were Glenn Meier and Scott Wilder, supervisors; Brenda Tesch, treasurer, Phyllis Wilder, clerk. Chairman Simon Nelson was absent.

The minutes to the July meeting were presented by the clerk. The board thanked the clerk for the report. Correction to the minutes is that it was the June financial report, not July’s report.

The financial statement for July was presented by the treasurer. The board thanked her for the report.

Public input: None

Employee report: Kevin Taylor reported that Farhner will be crack sealing end of this week unless rain. Polk Cty Hwy having problems with downloading information from the traffic study machine will do our traffic survey next week. Supplies needed are 3 – 4 stop signs, twenty posts and twenty reflective signs for 150^th Street. Kevin will get these ordered.

Old Business:

A. Speed limit request: Speed/car count study is set for the week of August 24. Phyllis Wilder had talked with the chairman Jim Beistle, from the town of St Croix Falls. Their speed limit ordinance was set in 1994 he was going to forward the ordinance for our review.

B. Status of crack sealing: Will be done in next couple of weeks.

C. Warranty on mower: John Struck will be sending us paperwork on extended warranty information for the mower.

New Business:

A. None at this time.

Correspondence: Polk County OWI Task force asking for township help in placing OWI prevention signage on town roads. Glenn Meier suggested 345^th Avenue due to accidents that have occurred on the road.

All bills approved and paid.

Next meeting will be September 15, at 6:30 pm.

Motion to adjourn was made by Glenn Meier, 2^nd by Scott Wilder, carried. Adjourned at 7 pm.
