Town of West Sweden- Monthly Meeting

August 16, 2016

Meeting was called to order by Simon Nelson at 6:30 pm. Members present Scott Wilder and Glenn Meier, supervisors; Kevin Taylor, patrolman, Phyllis Wilder, clerk, Brenda Tesch, treasurer.

Public input: None

The minutes to the July meeting were presented by the clerk. The board thanked the clerk for the report.

The financial statement for July was presented by the treasurer. The board thanked her for the report.

Employee report: Kevin received a contract from Rousar’s Welding & Hydraulics for our sander and plow; he will ask five percent commission. Salt/Sand shed has cement barriers installed inside, plywood applied to inside walls and 2 loads of gravel on along outside walls. Bryan Anderson was mentioned for helping with the beaver problem on 180^th.

Unfinished Business –

A. Update on salt sand shed repairs: see employee report

B. Finalize adoption of county zoning: After discussion on the mapping of the Town, Glenn Meier made the motion to have the county zoning department take the existing zoning map and make it complaint to the new zoning districts, seconded by Scott Wilder, motion carried.

C. Road work status: No work has started on roads. Scott Construction will be dropping their trap rock at the sewer plant in Frederic for chip sealing project.

New Business -

A. Consider/adopt Just Fix it Resolution: After discussion of the resolution it was determined to table it and place on the September agenda.

Correspondence: Cemstone approved credit, Law enforcement Round table August 25, 2016 at Polk County Justice Center from 1 to 2:30 pm, Town Workshop, 9-15 in Eau Claire, two house inspections done by Jon Mattson

Review bills/vouchers: Supervisors reviewed bills and approved payment
