Town of West Sweden- Special Meeting

August 3, 2016

Meeting was called to order by Chairman Simon Nelson at 6:00 pm. Members present Scott Wilder and Glenn Meier, supervisors; Kevin Taylor, patrolman, and Phyllis Wilder, clerk ,Brenda Tesch, treasurer. Jason Pearson, Fahrner representative; Ron Peterson, Monarch Paving Company representative; and Terry Mattson, Scott Construction representative.

The clerk provided a copy of the notice for the special meeting which was posted July 27, 2016 at Bremer Bank, Frederic Post Office and the West Sweden Town Hall. It was also posted on the Town of West Sweden website. The bid ad ran in the Indianhead Advertiser for two weeks.

Bids were received from Fahrner, Scott Construction, Monarch Paving and Taylor Paving Inc. All bids were opened and reviewed. Representatives present provided input regarding their bids.

Glenn M made the motion to accept Scotts Bid for chip sealing at $128,495.00 for 2.44 miles of 310^th Avenue, 2.16 miles of Clam Falls Drive, .54 miles of 140^th Street, 1.00 mile of 130^th Street and 2.48 miles of 345^th Avenue. Scott W 2nd, all in favor 3 votes, opposed 0.

Simon N made the motion to accept the bid from Monarch Paving which included shouldering of roads at $150,593.56 for both 6160 feet of 140^th Street and 305^th Avenue, and 2609 feet of Clam Falls Drive,

Scott W 2^nd. All in favor 3 opposed 0.

Motion to adjourn was made by Glenn M, 2^nd by Scott W., carried. Time: 6: 37 pm
